i have just got a xbox 360, with a component cable, i have ran gear of war and fifa 09, and it does not seem too run too smoothly, on gears of war it seems too take ages just too aim and is not smooth, feels like hard work,

It sounds more like an issue the console rather than the cable as you say it happens on more than one game? You could try a HDMI cable (I use HDMI and the picture is alot crisper and clearer that when using the component AV cable). Was your console new or second hand? Also, which XBox 360 is it (Core, Arcade, Premium or Elite)?

brought it from game, but brought it online, its a new premium 60gb one, weird thing is i took out a cable from the back and the picture when black and white on gears of war, but seems too play smoother.

You can try another cable if you like, failing that, get another copy of the game and see if it does the same with that. Has the console been modded at all?

It could be your display settings check on 360 what you have them set to also I know with Samsung screens you normally have to mess with the settings to get the best picture out of them.
