starview pvr ayrshire area

looking to buy a starview pvr anyone know if 1 they are any good and 2 do they work in the ayrshire area (smallworld cable provider) bit temperamental this area have tried eurovox and kryptview boxes none worked only starviews seem to work in this area thats why i was going for the starview pvr cause i want to watch one channel and record another

its not a very reliable pvr ,i gave up with it and ive taken my hard drive out now ,
we`ve just had a new firmware update for it today ! and they just fixed a lot of problems with it so it may work better now.
keep an eye out and ask again in a couple of weeks when people have had a chance to notice the changes
if youd have asked me last week i would have told you not to touch it as it realy was a terible box but i give this new firmware a chance before i condem it again as ive noticed a few inprovements

I have a spare one with a 300GB HDD, I've flashed it with the latest firmware and it works fine, it has sorted out most of the problems.

If you're interested, you can have mine including the HDD for £90 including the postage.
