Funcard modding in need for help please...

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if someone could please help me out. I have been trying to mod a fun card 4 with an infinity USB unlimited card programmer with software version 2.61 for a Samsung 2110c box but I have had no success. I have just been receiving different messages. It appears to me that am modding it incorrectly. I am using the latest pure NTL flash file from the big maq toolbar for the fun card. I am also using toxic7 and swap bin hex to create the file that contains my real BK and IRD keys. However when I open the USB unlimited software I store the latest NTL flash file into the flash location and the file I created into the ext eeprom location. I boot the box into the channels and then I receive the message on my box (smartcard not inserted properly) however I can still view the free view channels but none of the payable channels. However if I store the files a alternative way and put my created file into the flash location and put the latest NTL flash file into the ext eeprom location then I receive the message (sorry but your not authorized)


So could somebody please tell me what am I doing wrong?


Which location do I need to store the files?


Why am I receiving these messages?


Please help me out if possible thanks.

1. download correct flash file (uk_rules fix) for the samsung it works on all other boxes too

2. create external eeprom file with toxic or b09 file in nagra (check rights/expire) date

3. ensure you have a cam id 24 xx xx xx for ntl

4. if using nagra (my prfered method) when saving use "save as" name the file with .bin extension and choose "all files" not bn11

5. ERASE CARD TWICE

6. load files into infinity software

7. click write

congratulations you have just writen a card, in future (unless rights/expire dates need modifying ) you only need update the flash on the card.

Cheers, For your help much appraticated but I am only a newbie strater on modding these boxes so I would be thankful if you could also please tell me how I use the nagra edit program to create my file and how do I find out my cam ID please let me know ASAP thanks for your help.

your doing everything right, use toxic7 camid starts with 24 (pure) then make the rest up,,,us

if that dont work, save the bin file open nagra edit goto file open bin image, goto teir 8 and see what rights date is on there

just out of curiosity. Which way you sticking ur card in? With the chip up or down. Its meant to go down if u are facing it upwards with the image on it lol.
I did this today.

OK,

Thanks to everyone for your help on telling me how to mod the box correctly. Good news I have been successful I can now receive all the channels. However apart from the Sky movie channels as it comes up with a message saying (You need to activate your pin to get into this area) so how do I activate the pin so I can access and view these channels would be thankful for anyones help once again cheers.

you need to go into engineers menu & set the pin - hold up&down together & add power,let go after about one minute & box should go into engineers menu

Thanks for everyone’s help. I have now got all channels and activated the pin to receive the sky movie channels. You people are just fantastic and very helpful.

I was wondering if somebody could please carry on helping me out as I also have an original smart card that I firstly intended to mod for this box as I have been told that MOSC are better. But I had trouble with reading this smart card in nagra edit software version 4.1 using the infinity USB unlimited card programmer with software version 2.61 once again. I have also unlooped this smart card using the TMC T911 unlooper with success. However I just receive the following message below while am trying to read the card in nagra edit.

I have the USB unlimited software VCP mode enabled and the frequency set as 3.680 MHz all the COM ports is also set correctly in nagra edit so what could I be doing incorrect.


If anybody has got any ideas why this smart card is not successfully reading I would appreciate your help once again.

read with xncs, then program an open(unlocked) image to it. then retry in nagra
