I've recently bought an SB5101E with 'updated' firmware. I have a list of good MACs for use I just can't seem to get this to work.
The Ambit tool crashes whenever I try opening it, something about mswinsck.ocx and now NTL 250 Configurator crashes whenever I try to use it, it didn't before and I can't figure out why it does this now. I imagine it's something to do with me running Vista. The modem is running Haxorware 1.0rc4, is there anyway I can force the config on that? I know the config filename, I just don't know what I'd put in the server ip box? ![]() Any advice whatsoever is appreciated, thank you

I thought haxoware was all done through the browser, so why would you be using config tools?

I have no idea, I'm just following instructions.
How do I do it through the browser? I know which config file to use, I just have no idea what the server IP is? It's not the TFTP is it? |

My problem is I don't know what goes in the Server IP field on the Config File page on Haxorware. That's it. I'm pretty sure I know everything else, I have a TFTP address, MAC addresses etc, I'm just not sure what goes in here? I've tried putting a TFTP address in and it doesn't work. I can't get a server IP from DHCP Force because I don't have a working version of it.

Serial Number - Dont Touch Config File: Server IP: Put whatever your server IP address you are using here, you can get it from DHCPforce. Filename: Whastever you wish for your filename to use, if you want to force the 20mb option, then use - cmreg-ntlhm250-bund03.cm for NTL area, once again TW etc will be different. Autoserve Enabled - Unticked Stored cfg/store new config - no need to do anything here. Baseline Privacy: BPI - Disabled Certificate - BPI Public Key All the rest in the Baseline privacy section will not be touched. go here to input settings 192.168.100.1
open DHCPForce, put in mac where it says (mac address) then goto dhcp then press discover, if that dont work let it run, it will pick up a mac and tftip

The server ip as me stumped as well DHCP throws up 4, is it the subnet the gateway the TFTP or the client dhcp? HFC mac-your Mac address! my real one, one i sniffed or the one from my surfboard? The cm file, do i need to find someone using a real one ie a bund03 to get 20meg, come to that do i need to find one at all? ![]() Thanks for all the help, Keep up the good work
