Kryptview Arnet

I was going to upgrade to an EV ex1000sl but i have been told by various people that the Kryptview Arnet is a better box. Can anyone that has or has used both give me some feedback??

Seen both - the 1000 is rubbish IMHO opinion as no display and it autosorts uselessly when don't want it to (my dad has one - see thread).

Did your wife really want a porni splash screen as channel 1 instead of the BBC?!

Moot topic anyway as EVs are in short supply so you'd be fortunate to get one - try the Lincsat clikthru which was saying sold out for example

Before I bought I was going to go for the Kryptview based on other peoples opinions but i went for the EX1000 instead simply because of it's small form factor and decent reviews for other eurovox's. In fact I have two !

I don't have much issue with the autosorting that most people seem to complain about becuase it doesn't matter when you're in favourites mode (which is pretty much 99% of the time)

It does the job for me... but i rarely use it for prime time viewing as I still have sky+ 6 mix. (you'll not get better than sky + for shear ease & usability)

I got an Ex1000 for a freind a few weeks back and it seems to be fine and looks quite cool as well. I was going to get one, but a lot of people seem to think the Kryptview is a better box and its also cheaper.

I think my main concern is that im comfortable with the EV range as they are easy boxes to update and also the functions are simple. If the KV was as simple as the EV i would maybe take a gamble and see what all the fuss is about.

Hope your 1000s remotes never give up the ghost or you'll be totally fooked davey - at least ones with displays give an error code. Example is thread where a member advised other member to buy a 10p bit rather than whole new box because the display was going wierd and the tell.
