Ok, then we aren't "live" at that point. Go back into Control Panel / Network connections as above ^^^ and see the icon for your wireless connection. Is it highlighted at all / is there a red X over it etc? You can try right clicking on the icon and choosing repair, which may resolve any issues. If all else fails, reboot the router, THEN the laptop and attempt to connect wirelessly to it again. Hopefully we should get there then.

Maybe it's the wireless card then, if other lappies can connect this looks likely. It might be worth reinstalling the card IF it's a removable one. If you check back in Control Panel / Device Manager then look for Network Adapters in the list. Click the little + sign at the side to open the list and find your wireless card and highlight it. IF there is an exclaimation mark there is an issue with it. Either way, double click it or right click..properties.. and check all is ok. Does it say "this device is working properly" under the General tab? If we were online I would suggest a driver update from the Drivers tab. Just trying to eliminate everything here!

Forgot to say you can double click the red x and attempt to diagnose the problem there too!

check the card IF its a removable one. If you can try it in a different laptop, friends/family maybe etc. Formatting is an option, if you want to go through all that BUT if it is a faulty card, it would still be faulty afterwards too! Maybe try a scan for spyware/viruses too just to be on the safe side. Also, just a thought, is there a wifi on/off button on your laptop? Usually it looks like an aerial on one of the function keys, F2, F3 etc.. worth a look. Starting to run out of ideas to be honest. Maybe something in the event viewer but try the simplest first. Good luck.

try getting a fresh set from the makers' website on one of your working computers, then put the driver package on a USB pen drive and get them that way. Also, be certain you are logged on with an admin account when trying to update them this way.

Well, I'm not sure what else we can try to be honest. One last thing would be to see if the current setup can connect to a different wifi network perhaps, that would eliminate a hardware issue at least. It's looking like you may have to start over otherwise. Not much more to suggest I'm afraid. Let us know if you solve your problem though.
