Exclamation Modem Stopped Working 10 Dec 08

Hi Guys

My modem stopped working yesterday (night time), I called my friend and he and couple of other people's also stopped working !! (these are modded modems I'm talking about)

Does anyone know why this has happened ??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

May be issues with Virgin in your area at this time, an attack would be more wide spread...

Its quite possible it just the macs that need changing.
I had three modems I did go off in one day.
New macs and back online again.

When you purchase a modem thats ready, ie. firmware already flashed on.. How much info do you have to input, just the MAC address and Config file? I heard somewhere there are particular frequency ranges for different areas?

Hi all.
Having trouble in the W.Mids Telepest area too!
No connection tonight.Tried new macs wihout success,dreaded 192.etc
IP adress.
Re-hooked up subbed box.All ok!!!!
Re-hooked up 255 infinite box- nowt!!!!!!!!!!

Any ideas folks????????????

I've just called my friend and asked him to look up some MACs for me > but Virgin has definately changed something because although MACs are appearing (i.e. MAC numbers are there) but the config file name has changed to something weird.

7dsfd;kfoA,.iyewrkldJKD

What do you guys think ? or you all getting the same thing ?

mm i did a modem for my brother put bund.cm in, but in the modem settings it was all letters and numbers like above still worked though.
