Default problem with cas 3 plus.

Hello.
I knew this was never going to be easy.
I have loaded the cas studio 8.6b to computer.
It's saying connect the device in your usb port.
I have a usb to serial cable, which works as have flashed Kryptview box, then a NULL modem cable connected to this, then a gender changer to connect to interface.
But nothing. Do I need a different cable to Null modem one??
Help!!!

You should have a USB that came with the Cas 3, connect USB to Computer and the other end into the Cas3, It lights up like a christmas tree and off you pop.

I'd be inclined to avoid the serial connection and use the USB socket on the CAS 3. Try a suitable USB lead if you have one. I have heard that the CAS 3 doesn't like some cables and I've had problems with gender changers on other hardware.

Hope this helps

Matt

You just require a normal USB cable for programming a Cam, you only need the serial cable for programming cards in Phoenix mode.
Do not connect your Cas 3 to the computer until after you have installed the Cas Studio drivers, once this is completed attach your Cas 3 to your PC and Windows will automatically install the device.
