Default Missing channels

hi,
i finally managed to get my EV2 back up today with the new fix - however i am missing some channels.
sky sports 1 , 2, and 3.
sky 1, 2 and 3.
all setantas ( i was expecting these to be missing reading thru ealier posts, but not the others.)

so, can anyone explain to me why i am missing these channels and point me in the right direction to getting these back?

lamens terms please.
i am not the most technical minded (unfortunitly.)

i did do a scan after flashing, but this didnt return any missing channels.

any help greatly appreciated.
thanks guys.

The frequencies for these channels may have changed. Press the Menu button on remote and go to the Config then clear data, put in the password (0000) and select erase all channels. Once you have done this do a full powerscan. This should sort the problem but its not guarenteed.

Can I ask a supplementary question to the one posted by the original thread starter.I have eurovox max blue box. Have not flashed it with latest software(30/11). Done an update once before but was not sure how to save my channels before updating software and i believe you then download them back onto thebox? had a lot of hassle getting all my channels back so am a wee bit wary of doing it again. Any way my question is, if i did flash with the latest software would this override any frequency changes(not code changes)like the one that recently happened in my area(Glasgow) for Setanta channels, or would i still have to manually enter frequency changes even if the box was flashed up to date? any info appreciated.

Connect your box to your PC/laptop and when you launch the firmware on your pc you will see there is a Channel Data section. Hit the Browse button and select a location to store your Channel Data File (CDF) and give it a name eg. 'MyChannels.cdf', now hit the small upload button at the bottom of the screen to upload your channel info to your PC.

Now hit the large download button at the top of the screen to flash the new firmware. When this has downloaded successfully, hit the smaller Download button at the bottom of the screen and this will download your CDF file back onto your box and away you go.

if i update will that override any frequency changes like the one we had in glasgow recently with setanta? or will still have to manually input new frequencies once they are found?
