Hi peeps,

I am looking at converting my EV2 box to a blue box as i reckon the f/w is more reliable and its normally released a lot quicker.

I have been told different things from different people so i am hoping someone can clarify what i actually need to do. Some people have said i can simply load the blue firmware to the box and all i need to do is buy a max remote and it should work fine. Others have said i need to Jtag the box first. Can someone who has done this confirm. Also what is invloved when jtagging a box?

Hi again Mark, my pal who has the EV2 we just spoke on the phone and said he is going to have a go at flashing for himself this time with today's release, but as his already green screens as yours after midnight, I will be interesred to see informed responses and link him to your thread.

you need to jtag it not flsh it or u if you want pm me

or buy a jtag and you must have a paralelle port on yer pc
