Default Projector problems

hi to all n merry xmas

ok in all my wisdom. ive gone and bought a projector for us all for xmas

kids can watch dvds great!!! that works

we can all play on the computer yayyy that works to

her indoors can watch tv programmes.......hummmmm well she can watch it but cant hear it.

now i got sound on the dvd and computer, but none through the virgin tv box but i can watch the picture and even change channel .... yet if i replug it all back into the tv the sound works.... soon as i plug the areil lead into the projector i get pic but no sound, i have a surround sound system as well
any ideas wot im doing wrong or not doing plz plz

Why are you trying to plug an aerial into the projector?

You say you have a surround sound system so just connect the audio outputs on the av source (cable box) to the sound system inputs. Should be the red and white sockets on the basck of the boxes. You can get audio cables cheaply from electrical shops

no av ins or outs on the ntl box however ive run it now thru the video and it works fine

lmao i phoned them tday to find that out
they repplied'' it works on a tv so theres nowt wrong with it.even thou i asked for an updated one. sigh thier loss eh

Yes, but they have scart sockets on them, thus with the appropriate lead, individual AV connections can be made.
