also make sure you are reading it in the programmer and not the glitcher, easily done.
you can also try atr kit to see if the card can be rescued. the software is out there.

I was given a 2000 with a card over the weekend, tried to read the card several times and got the same message. I then tried using sidewinder and a t911 but it wouldn't even recognise there was a card inserted.
Just out of curiosity i cut tb and powered up the box with the card inserted and got the "your smartcard does not appear to be in" message every time i changed channel as i expected, but after about 10 minutes it dissappeared. I then tried to read card again and bingo got the BK. Bit odd as i never actually glitched it. Any ideas?

Must have already been a mosc otherwise you would have had a false bk, did you have programmer in phoenix mode when trying to read it.

yes definately not a problem with settings or the programmer and the glitcher wouldn't work either. I'm starting to think the box many have been played with before. A rom10 a86 wouldn't normally open without glitching would it?

also guys if the tiny unlooper is killing the cards then the pot if set to high...... if u use the vvc script and go all the way up on the pot u will see it will go to 27 28 29 then 30,&so on, on the script. keep going on the pot and you will stay on 30 for a FEW TURNs THEN IT WILL START BACK AT 21(ABOUTS) AND U CAN SET THE POT BACK TO 28(ROM11) BUT WILL BE SET TO HIGH ~(KILL CARD) HAVE A MULTI METER AND SET IT AROUND 56OMS(GOOD STARTING POINT) DONT GO ANY HIGHER THAN 66 OMS

if u can understand this then cool as i can only just under stand what i wrote.. lol

hope this helps
