DHCP Attempt Fail

For some reason i have a modem that will not come online at all, i've tested another one and its fine.

It just gave in one day and now all i get is the following when its trying to get its HFC IP.

Quote:

DHCP Attempt# 1 BkOff: 5s Tot DSC:1 OFF:1 REQ:1 ACK:1

Any ideas what this means?
