Hi guys,
Has anyone heard of the Select A View 'View FTA-500' box. A friend of mine has one but his remote control has stopped working and now he cannot change channels etc. He can use the front of the box to scroll up and down but that is it. I am guessing as it scrolls using the front controls it must be the remote control. Does anyone know where you can get these remotes from. Any help fully apreciated. |

hi mate i think the selecta view box is a starview clone (from what iv`e been reading) so you might be able to use a starview remote. look here. "h**ps://www.bubblecableboxes.com/products/Starview-Remote-Control.html#" also take a look here Not even a Starview Clone Last edited by jb21; 13-12-08 at 05:44 PM. |

Select a view is a starview clone so you will need a clone remote but a proper one might work im not sure if you know anyone with a starview try their remote.

Either clone or gen remote will work as they do on clone or gen starview's.

Thanks for the info guys.
I managed to fix it. The IR led had gone faulty so just replaced it from an old remote and hey presto it worked. Managed to find some on flee bay also so have advised him to buy one just in case it goes faulty again. Will see if the new one works soon. Thanks once again. |
