well thats 2 weeks gone now, and i have e-mailed Nick (manager) @ wizard about this, reading between the lines i dont think there will be a fix for the starview 1, this was the reply i got from him when i kept asking about a fix.

You only need to look at THE BOX (starview 2) to update that needs 3 FILES!!!! Because of the rom change starview 1 was a too long of a headache to sort out, so that’s why

I assume this says it all PS just been told SunRise is working on a fix, so its not all doom and gloom YET

i quoted in another site back in october ( after-d*wn) that a little bird told me that starv*ew 1 will be finished by feb 2009 back then no1 took it for real then, now everyone knows its true, so be warned by feb you will be chucking it in the bin, check my post out same name jokerjay on that site, also the box sv2 is the better one of them all, thats if you can get your hands on them !!!!!!!!! sv3 naahhhhhhhhh.

The world is run by greed. Lets face it, if you were the manufacturer or distributer would you issue a software solution or sell a new box??.
The truth is starview one has died and its been killed on purpose as that is the way someone is going to fill his pockets!!!

maybe but lets face it, someone has bothered with ev blue clone, of which i am sure there are a lot less than the sv1. and it does not instil brand loyalty if u think the manu's will deliberately allow it to be obsolete.
i think truth is it is proving trickier so will take time, otherwise why the sv2 fix ?? these are not in current production!!!! same for ev1/2/blue/red/vmax it goes on. a fix will come but it is "low on priorities"

I love my SV2, it reminds me of the old Nokia mobile 3210, drop it off a roof and it will still work lol.

Used to have the "green screen of death" when I used info button (so didn't use info)
But that's now sorted with the 8.02e fw and also the EPG seems to work better

I agree fella 100%

Patience is required people, no key roll since the 4th of Dec, could have been a lot worse

The good news is there has been no keyroll since the 4th! I also understand that a fix for original SV1 boxes (Sunrise) has been done, but he doesn't want to release it. He wants others to understand the processes involved, which is understandable..I would doubt it'll be released now!
