Default two dishes for the experts

Long before I bought my first sat system I was interested in satellites.
I have walked past this dish for years and wondered about it.
What type of dish is it.It looks to be aimed at 28e.
there is a sky dish behind it on the same alignment.

The next one is on a local shop.Something to do with the lottery I think
I have seen the odd referance to it on the forum. But not much about it.
What is the box between the double lnb booms

The top one is a prime focus dish - and is non-op as it looks like it has an important bit missing!

The bottom on is a receive / transmit system - probably for a national lottery terminal although two way broadband via satellite uses a similar set up.

The bit between the booms is the air cooled transmission amplifier.

TWO MORE

Both are on a block of flats near me.The block is H shaped. The first one seems to be looking staight at a brick wall.I have wondered for a while how can it see a satellite.Obviously it can. It just go'es to show how high in the sky the satellites are.

Edit they all seem to be on 28e. Why would they need a wopping graet dish for that.

'fraid not mate, there s no way the dish in the middle picture can get anything at all.

The highest TV sat in the clark belt in your area is just under 30 degrees, and that dish is pointing at the wall for sure.

Often for IRS systems, a bigger dish than normal is needed, but the CM does look over the top I reckon.

I thought the same .The first two pics are the same dish. But the angle of sight looks a bit steep.I will get some pics from the dish's point of view.
It looks to be an expensive dish to be pointing at nothing.

Ahh, in the 1st picture it looks OK, must just be the camera angle in the second one.

Regarding the third pic its difficult to tell but Id say the white dish is a 1m and could be pointing to about 16E - its alignment looks slightly different to the two minidishes
