Default going to buy a technomate 9100super and have a few questions

1. - Whats the difference between the technomate 9100 and TM 9100 super?
2. - Really what I want it to do is read my setanta sub(sly viewing card), drive a motor and open whatever is available digi tv etc.

3. - can I flash/update the box via USB memory stick? I know the DB7020 can but not sure bout the TM
4. - If not how do I update it?

5. - Iv read that it struggles to drive a motor is that true?
6. - Can a tm be networked via a wireless router?
7. - what are the advantages of having the TM networked?
8. - is £149.99 a good price for the tm 9100super? delivery is included!
There is alot of questions there, im just a person that wants to know for definite what im buying

Hi, having very briefly used one for a couple of days, I can say:-

2. Yes, it will read a Sky card.

5. I didn't have problems driving a motor, but USALS didn't work on the image that was on there.

6. Yes, it can be connected to the internet via a router.

7. Connecting to the internet has many benefits, not limited to , but including being able to download straight from the net updates to the receiver, including softcams etc. Being able to connect to another PC via a network would enable you to put files etc on it via FTP, plus many other uses I would imagine.

1. The TM9100 Super has more memory
2. Yes you can read a Sky card using either NewCS or Gbox
3. No you can't update it with USB as it doesn't have one.
4. You can either update it via a Serial lead or via network using Technomate Control center.
5. Its all dependent on what image is on it. Some cope better than others.
6. As far as i am aware it has to have a hardwired connection to the router. Never tried to do mine wirelessly in all honesty.
7. Easy to update keys and emus if its networked.
8. £149 is a bit steep. I only paid £130 including delivery for mine.

The powerplug networks work very well with linux receivers as long as you get the fast one (54Mbs+)

I got mine from Eurosat in Walsall.

You can get Polsat on 13e and DigiTV on 1w at the moment.

You will need to have a look over at the Allsats forum as they give the most support for this type of receiver.

_www.allsats.co.uk

In all honesty I would look a DM600 rather than the TM9100 if you can stretch the extra £50, Its a much better receiver and it has much better support

It also controls a motor much better than the TM9100

No I cant get the extra money so the TM will do

thanks 4 da link but im already a member there and have got lots of help there already!

On the other forum they said that the TM will drive the motor as good as any receiver if you use the right files

Could I drive it with my Sl65 and also have the TM connected to it?
