need assistance about the Sky+ serial Number

i bought a Sky+ Second Hand from this lady and another guy bought her Sky card

now the thing is that the guy who bought the card needs the serial number of my (newly bought) Sky+ box, the message from him............

I need it to put into my dragon cam to get freesat channels, channel 4 HD and Sky 3 etc working.

I suppose it could cause a problem, if he subsequently phoned Sky and asked for a different card to be paired with your box. Then if you tried to do the same, there would be two requests to pair two cards to the same box.

In any case, Sky cards do not require to be paired for the FTV channels. My card works quite happily in my TM6800 without entering the serial number of my Sky box that it is paired with.


My advice would be to tell him, he doesn't need the serial number of the box for the FTV channels, and that you are are unwilling to give it to him, in case it effects your ability to get your own card paired with it when required.

He doesn't need the serial number for the Dragon cam.
He can insert all zeros,in the Dragon cam menu and it will work in the Dragon Cam.
He will need to first make sure that Five,Sky 3 etc are viewable in a Sky digibox,if they are then the viewing card is up to date.
If they are not viewable,then he needs to leave the viewing card in a Sky digibox for anything up to 72 hours to receive the "keep alive" signal.
Once he inserts the viewing card in the Dragon cam(making sure it is the right way up i.e the back of the viewing card should be facing up),he'll find that all the ftv channels are viewable.
