Make sure first of all whether your box is a clone or not and make sure you are using the right firmware.

Serial Lead - RS232 serial leads are commonly found on connections between peripheral equipment such as modems and a PC, although there are many other uses. Pins are connected 1 to 1, 2 to 2, 3 to 3 etc making this a straight-wired cable. Null Modem Lead - Null Modem serial leads are commonly found on connections between two PCs to allow data transfer and basic networking, although there are many other uses. Pins are connected reverse layout. The pinouts for this item are as follows: 2-3, 3-2, 4-6, 5-5, 6-4, 7-8, 8-7. So you could in fact chop the cable you have and resolder it together but you will be better off returning it and exchange it for the correct one |
