hi there i purchased a starview box in Feb this year and it lost all premium channels a few weeks ago. The company who supplied me with it have gone quiet and i have no idea what to do. I have read through a lot of the info on the site but as a non techie am completely lost. If somebody could explain to an idiot how to get things up and running again i would really apreciate it!!! Its amazing how lost you become without the "free" channels!!!!

Download the toolbar(bigmaq) and manually put in the keys m8. You will need the keymaster from the toolbar to get the keys

Press menu then system info and post back which version you have.

eg: 4.51e, 4.54e etc

you need to get access to keys, learn how to input manually, then ur up and running until you get the progs and knowledge to put new firmware on, starting with upgrade to 4.54.

Yes, you need to upgrade your firmware to 4.54e, then add the logobg.bin file, then upgrade again to v8.02e

Give me your email addy via pm and I'll send you a full tutorial.

PS. you'll need a "Null Modem Cable" to connect your stb to your PC
