Yes I did. As a matter of fact i read it twice so it would absorb into my brain and I'd remember it until my days are up.
I understand that a new modem would be needed, a new modem that was capable of working at the new speeds. Quote:
Sometime soon, there will be new modems floating about with new firmwares to flash and new guides to follow, just as there was with the current Docsis's. So please, don't be so rude by asking whether "I" had bothered to read the post when I was only joking about a little when I mentioned config files etc... Notice the after the things I said.So with all that in mind and because I have yet to do a modem yet... Bring On The Modding.. However long it takes. Respect to all who write tut's, write software and all of those who help people like me learn. Kango. |

Ok, fair comment.
However, I still stand by the fact that some time soon there will be posts and guides on here about the new system. From what I have read, Docsis 1.0, 1.1, & 2.0 also had there share of security at the time. I might not be the best at this modding game but there's a hacker saying... If you can make it you can break it. Sorry for saying you were rude.. I thought you were having a dig. Last edited by Kangochad; 15-12-08 at 01:46 PM. Reason: typo |

True, lets see how it goes ay. Fingers crossed.
So does anyone care to talk about the 50meg at all? Anyone thinking of purchasing when it comes to their area? |

docsis is broken by design, but we will need to wait for methods to read/write to the modems at the very least.
if there will be a remote exploitable method or not we will have to wait and see (i.e. mac cloning) or we might need 100% clones (mac/serial and certs from modems nonvol) which will be harder. |
