Default Wireless Router problems

Hi Guys i recentley purchased a phillips snb5600 wireless router - right tried to set it up over 10 times now.Im setting it directley through ethernet cable via modem via router to my pc...but my pc says it cant find the ip address....i have unplugged / reset the router multiple times but still no go - i but my old router back on and that has no prbs at all......any ideas ?

Not much to go on here, lots of other people having a similar problem with this model of router. Try pressing the reset button (you will need a paperclip or similar long thin type object), but hold it for about 25 seconds (have read that). Then give it another try. If you still have no joy it might be worth cloning the mac address if your router has this feature(pretty sure it will have). Best of luck.
