Today is the day when there should be some announcement with regards to the long-awaited super fast broadband service from Virgin Media, that promises to offer broadband speeds of 50 Mbps.It is believed that the cost is likely to be anything from £42 per month up to £50 per month, but what is more uncertain [...]

i dont see many people paying for this service if Vermin are gonna throttle/cap download speeds like before, i know if i was paying for 50mb i'd be p.issed with a 10gb cap

lol i cant get it in my area either yet.
TBH im not too fussed. 4.5gb in 30 mins is too much for me to handle

Im testing it now and it is capped but ive only got it on test till the new year then back to 10meg but i get to keep the new modem for my trouble.

Lucky sod! Where I live I can't even get freeview yet and they say we won't be able to get it untill 2012 or something stupid like that......

thats not bad i can DL 7.5gb in 40 minutes, but its great being able to do an album in 60 seconds and a movie in around 2 mins

Yer well i can get an album in about 1 or 2 mins and a DivX file in like 5-6 mins. TBH any faster and ill forget that i would of downloaded it. Im getting like that now.
7.5gb in 40 mins is good though. Is that on the 50meg or 20? Cos i think the fastest ive got on that size of file is about 1hour and a bit. Thats for downloading a 360 game or an AVCHD dvd disc

lol and 4 35 quid a month with a fone lind new modem and a n1 router not bad i dont think and yes they cap all the downloads at certain times
