What area are you in... c&w, tw, pure??

Check the net id list for your area.

The 4000-N will work in c&w
The 4000-T will work in tw

If the box is a 4000n and is on the updated virgin software it should work in TW as well. It has to be on the new Virgin level and not the older NTL menu

Sideline question... Is the 4000n is on the old NTL menu is it possible to force an update to get it to work? or do you have to do that on a TW area?

4000n works in pure ntl also but will stay on old ntl if not already on 3.6.
Not sure about in TW ?

They will need to be updated before they will work in TW. I have done a couple and had a mate in Ex C&W who updated to virgin 3.6 it for me. They cannot be forced from old NTL menus in TW.

I have a 4001N and it works perfect in swansea, sets net i.d automatically for virgin/ntl. Don't know about tw or c&w.
