wanting to put haxor over ambit - has vermin media home page on it

hey all,
Well i got 2 ambit's here and they have the vermin media web page on them 192.168.100.1
So i am trying to use console unlocker to then use jtag and then when i get the p option I'd be able to plop haxor over them.
Thing is I'm not sure if that's the correct way to do it as once i use console unlocker then it tells me that it's worked but before i can do any thing the modem reboots it's self and then I'm back to square one.
Any advice please?

when you have done console unlocker, disconnect modem

Now start HyperTerminal and make a new connection.
Use the com port that your serial is connected to on your PC using these settings:
Bits per second: 115200
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None

Power the modem up.(without the cable feed in) and then put what software you want

hey mate, thanks for the quick reply.

When i run console unlocker i have to run it a few times before it says console should be active and then I'm quickly powering down the modem and then starting hyper terminal with them settings (the one's I've used before or is this my mistake) and then when I'm plugging the power light in when hyper terminal is running it's just going into it's normal options....no p option etc.......

i have a saved a hyper terminal session with them settings is what i meant by the ones I've used before...i've been trying and every time that console unlocker works i unplug the modem as quickly as possible and then when i start hyper terminal i still get back to normal settings and no p option.....i'm OK at putting haxor over infinite but when they are factory standard it's got me.....

how long does the program take from start to finish

console unlocker takes maybe 15 seconds maybe 20 at the most.....

first you must use
Execute Exploit”then unloxker

Apply serial and Ethernet connection between your PC and the modem
2. Set your PC IP parameters to:
IP: 192.168.100.10
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.100.1
3. Power on the modem and wait for it to startup (10 secs)
4. Open the exploit application and hit “Execute Exploit”
5. If it says its successful, then the console is now ready to accept connections!
If it fails, power cycle the modem and try the application again.
At this point, if you want to restore your bootloader to the original 2.1.6d that has the re-flashing menu etc, you need a copy of SoftJTAG and the
2.1.6d bootloader.
**BE CAREFUL WHEN USING SOFTJTAG - As you can brick your modem if your not careful**
1. Open SoftJTAG, and connect via your serial port.
2. On the right hand side, click on “Write Bootloader” and select the 2.1.6d bootloader file
3. Wait till its done (this takes 10 – 15 minutes). Once it’s done, close SoftJTAG
4. Start HyperTerminal/TeraTerm and connect to your serial port
5. Reset the modem
