Question detectability

Hi

I'm currently researching about these modems and what they potentially can do.

I then began to wonder about something: if Virgin can see what their users are browsing, so for example how they know when people are using P2P applications etc for illegal downloads, what is to say that they cant see the email addresses, banking details, passwords, etc. of the users on the illegal modems?

Is it more a matter of don't do online banking or shopping, or maybe even that virgin dont look for this info?

Thanks
Ryan

Default Re: detectability

online banking will use SSL, and be encrypted, so they wont get those passwords ir see the page you see. as for email it would depend on whether you were using a secure setup or not.
