i had the same prob m8. it was my old modem it wasnt compatible for the 10 meg they dont tell ya that give them a ring m8 and demand a refund also it worked for me hope that helps

It's also possible they haven't upgraded your speed their end, 10mb line will get you around 1200kbs down speed, good way to check is download a large game demo from the likes of pc world and see what speed you actually are getting.
