Default Starview 1 box

my star view 1 box has gone dead, the screen on the front of the box is blank but the box gets warm when switched on, so i guess the power is getting through. Is this box ready for the bin or is there hope for it?

A fix has been done but the person who created it seems to be having a hissy fit!

Hi Cab, I see you joined the same time as myself, quite coincidently the same time VM trashed all the codes, I take it at the time you did'nt have the negative comments as you have this time, I suppose back then the fixes were already posted and you just downloaded them! It is the creators perogative to post the fix as & when he feels like it (if ever) Surely your comments about a 'hissy fit' is not helping the cause and wont encourage anyone to post them any quicker.
The fix back in April has lasted a long time, if there is not one forthcoming there is no great problem imputting codes in manually, it's not as if it takes an age to do! I would say you've had a good run for your money.

PS, I don't think Tony G's problem could be down to a fix, if that was the case he would still recieve fta channels.

Tony I would suggest you look for the April fix and load that for the meantime, you will have to put codes in manually but no great hardship.
If you are not sure whether its a clone or not the is a clone safe on the tcb toolbar.

I had the same problem with one of my sv 1's, I left the power off the box, set up pc and then connected to the box, start to download then switch the power on the box, you may have to try it a few times and different time intervals ie dl wait 5 secs then power/ dl wait 15 secs then power. This did work for me on a dead box using sunrise clone fix 16/04/08.
I am by no means an expert but with trial and error and a bit of perseverance I managed to resurect my sv 1 clone.
Give it a try nothing to lose.

Well with comments like that one a fix maybe even longer coming !! It is the authors right to when he wants to release HIS fix, perhaps if more people tried instead of sitting on there lazy arses waiting then there may have been a release already, trouble is too many leeches want to sit and wait on the sam person/people all the time.
