hi everyone, hoping someone can help me with my box.

i have a telewest pace Di1000T box which hasnt been used for about 2 years. has no card but talk back has been cut. when its powered up it worked and i got the standard free channels and then it went to update mode. screen shows the old telewest sign saying the box is updating do not switch off. display on box shows PAt and has been like this for over 15 hours.

any help on this situation. thanks

are you using it on a tw stream?

it says do not power off but i've never damaged a box by unplugging it.

check the net id is right for your area.

i am having some trouble updating boxes at the moment. i've got and heard talk about 1000 phase 1bs not updating.

yup im in a TW area had the stream in as it was trying to update but no luck. i think i have to set my net id for my area as the box shows 0.9999.

hopefully that will work.

yeah, you need to set net id. you can do so with libby or making a netid fun

how do u get into EM the up/down power up the box doesn't seem to work tried removing the red jumper short cuttin the battery but still no joy. Am i missing something here?

Are you holding the buttons for long enough to allow the EM to load? You have to hold them for about 5 seconds.

yup sometimes even 30 seconds

What does it say on the front when you are holding them? When it says ENG, you can let go of them.

it just says PACE then the light goes from top to bottom then the lights stays on the middle the lid stucks on pace.

on tv: screen comes up saying ur box is updating blah blah bla

Remove the cable feed when you try it.
