starview 4 usb 8% downloading error

hi all

sorry if this has been covered before but i tried searching and you cant use 8% to search. the problem i have is when updating my starview 4 usb box it has stopped at 8% complete. i am using the usb data stick method and the box is brand new, the firmware version i am using is the one from the supplier: theboxsuperusb_v1.02_beta.bin dated 01/12/08. there is a warning saying not to turn off as it will damage box! i have a null moden cable so can update that way if the usb is problematic but dont want to turn off box untill i know it wont die.

just checked file version and it is v1.05 not v1.02

has no body else had this problem?

can a starview 4 box be jtagged or is there another way of putting the software onto the box? i now have two dead boxes and the seller does not seem very keen to help.
