Hi i have a ps3 and just brought a samsung surround sound system HT-X310R now my tv is a bush and only has 1 hdmi input on it which is being used by the ps3 and i have the optical cable running from the ps3 to the home cinema reciver which is giveing me the surround sound from the speckers but i am not getting any sound from the tv so i am not getting the best sound is there anyway i can fix this so i can get sound from my home cinema and my tv.My tv also has an optical out.

Connect the optical cable from the TV to the Surround sound amp, then all sound from the TV will go to the amp.

Try a splitter.

I have tryed connecting it that way but sadly it dos not work it wont carry any sound other than the dvd reciever which is connected via scart.Also when you have a home cinema system is there sound meant to come out of the tv as well as the home cinema system coz i keep asking people and sum say it should and sum say it should nt.Any help will be greatful.

What is the model no. of the TV and I will look up the details. It may be that the optical on the TV needs to be switched one way or the other, or it may be i/p only.

do youn no where i would find this on the tv??as its a 26 inch bush that i brought from argos a year ago are so.

there should be a label on it somewhere
either on the back or side
on my samsung it was on the right side
it should give you a model number and serial number and so on
it could have a barcode by it too
if it doesnt point out any serial numbers but it shows some numbers then just post those
