i used to keep a spare tuner on the 1000`s and swop them over and get the box to update and risk it not being picked up ( as tb back on )

Unlike a pace 4000 you cant use ocd/flash to send a macro to it?

i've got spare 2000 tuners with the track still intact but no 1000. i'll prob join the tracks together with a bit of solder.

the thing is, the 2000's still update with tb cut.

can it not be that vm have turned off the update for the 1000's and 1000p1b's? or made the flash too big to fit on the chips?

Cannot get get 1000's or 1000 phase 1b's to update.

nada, still get 'Not for this hardware'

also, the one i have plugged in now has not had talkback cut but led is flashing.

I can confirm that pace DI1000T still take update, coz I got one done just last week, I’m TW area and the box was for TW area, just pulled the jumper and the update was done in few minutes.
I do have other pace boxes that won’t update but there for C/W & NTL area that’s why al though I have tried to update them with TB still on, I get the same message as you do “this update is not for this hardware” I’m it will update in the right area, perhaps if the signal is week or you are using a splitter that would make a difference M8.

nah, its not a signal issue, everything after a 2000 is fine

I have read that these is a test simm that will fix this, but haven't been able to find the specific details. Does anyone know any more about this?

right i have an update on this.... (scuse the pun)

i got a pace 1000T from a carboot this morn.

i brought it home to c+w pulled jumper, set netid with libby

it booted and updated after being on stream 5 mins!

the simm has 4 chips on it. previously, the boxes i have been trying to update have been the 2 chiped simm

i am now going to get the boxes that i cannot update and put this simm in them while i force them to update.

that dont work, the 4 chipped sim will only fit in a 1000T. its just ever so slightly dif in shape.

i tried to bend it a bit but it doesnt boot in any other box other than the 1000T.

does anyone have any info on these simms and what boxes they are interchangeable with?

boxes i now have which wont update on a c+w stream are.....

1000 Phase 1b
1010T (is there a Phase 1b for this one? is so, i prob have one of these too)

simms i have are....

4 chipped ones.
2 chips and 2 empty pads
2 chipped ones (the most common)

dumps i have are....

1010T on 3.6 which works on c+w
i'm currently in the process of getting a 1000 box back which is on 3.6

i just cant erase the bloody atmels to program them.
