Is anyone else having problems with updating boxes?

I have a Pace 1000 Phase 1b which just wont update. Previously I have had no problem updating this model of box on a C+W stream.

This had had a No-Update mod done on it but has been removed now.

On screen it says tuned to pat ect but then the soft it has been sent is 12 when it says it was expecting 04. It then says 'Not for this Hardware'

Is it possible that Vermin have taken their 1000's out of service and hense stopped the network updading these boxes?

I now have a Pace 1000 (with C+W on the front) which wont update on my C+W stream.

Same happens, 'tuned to PAT, not for this hardware, was expecting blah2, received blah1'

Any ideas?

Has anyone updated a early pace box recently?

how do you updaye the software on these , do u have to connect it to ur pc by the rs323 cable , on back of the box if not what is the connection for on the back of the boxs i see most boxs have a rs323 connection ..

Im seem to be having similar problems to you G77.

Got a 1010b on tw which im trying to run on c&w.
When i force an update i get the same message as you
"tuned to pat"
"software expected was 12 and recieved"
"NOT for this hardware"
But then the box does actually go on to update but then the box will boot up and as soon as it turns on all problems start.
It turns itself off then back on again but then i get all sorts of stuuf on the display mainly 88:88 but ive also has different variations.

How did you get on did you manage to find a way of getting the update to work?

no, not sorted any of it out. i cannot update a box model pre pace 2000.
even ex c+w boxes with ex c+w printed on the front on a ex c+w stream.

Well mate ive finally had porgress at last.

Tried several times to force an update on a tw 1010b on a c&w screen and everytime I was getting the same message as you.

But then what was different I don't no but after about the 8th time the box took the update fine and works on 3.6 now with no problems.

But what I still don't understand is that when the update actually worked, I was still getting exactly the same messages on the screen.

So I don't no how it worked in the end but it did.

hmm. funky. i'm gonna dig one out now and force it and force it and force it! in fact, nah, i'll dig one out tomorrow. i'm having a day off, lol.

no, i just cant get it done. thats 1x di1000 and 1x di1000 phase 1b that will just not update for love nor money

also, the audio description is on and cant be turned off.

i think the only way to progress with this is to dump a chip from a box on 3.6 and copy it onto these 2 boxes. i think i'll just bin them.
