I've never really understood what VPS is? Is it type of reseller plan? or Is it a dedicated or semi-dedicated server?
Anyone would explain to me what VPS is?

VPS is a truly isolated and private environment. You get root access, your own software. You can even "reboot" it.
From an administration point of view, it is very close to a dedicated server. |

Arca said what i would have said its a virtual private server and you get root access and everything, they cost more than resellers though.

yes, usually most vps offer a trouble ticket just for reboot requests, but you can also buy the optional remote reboot where you can login to reboot your vps just in case you can't access it via ssh.
