hi all i was given a soni erricson w800i but it keeps asking for puk number that i dont have,any idea how i get it, person i got phone off is long gone

just put another or new sim card in the fone all should be ok...

You are getting asked for a PUK code (or Pin Unblocking Key) because the pin code for the phone has been entered incorrectly too many times. You can try another sim card as techcity66 says but I think you might need the phone resetting.

your sim card is now Kaput
you need to contact the sim card supplier to get a new sim card and get the PUK code at the same time for future reference.
the card they send you will have any remaining credit of the old card re-imbursed

if you know what the original mobile number was you can get it unblocked
vodaphone - automated service, number on their website
O2 - www.o2.co.uk/puk
If not do as said above, get a new sim card
