Default Some Advice Please Fellas

Hi Guys, i have a starview 4 upstairs that i dont particulary like, so ive took a split to downstairs and need another box, i was thinking of getting the dbox2, what do you think? is this the best / most reliable box to get? is it supported well?

the config should be a breeze for me as i have ftp experience etc. so im just after opinions really!

on the last keyroll it took 3 days before a fix was released for the SV4, when did it come for the DBOX2?

also what are the recording capabilities / EPG reliablity and can i record 1 channel while watching another. Im looking for something to replace sly+ tbh

thanks guys, please advise

dbox's rock m8 but........ they are long in the tooth now like 5 years old + so i would not pay the money they are on ebay closest thing to it I suppose is a dreambox but its still not as good as a dbox. If its just for tv then you cant go wrong with a eurovox ex1000 a mate has just got one nice little box

You can set up recording of programmes, however as dboxes only come with a single tuner, you cannot watch 1 channel while recording another. On the plus side, they do have excellent support, and can be customised easier than other boxes. Fixes are normally out as quick as anything else, and can usually be applied easily without requiring a complete flash. However it is becoming difficult to find a good Dbox these days, as they are over 5/6 years old. Look for other cable receivers with twin tuners if you want the recording capability while watching anther channel.
