fan's Sounding Loud !

hi, Every 5 months of so i take the side of my pc & find there is alot of dust on the fans e.c.t .......... so i give them a clean .. no water .just a slight wipe with cotton buds then hoover the rest of the dust away. been doing this 4 about 6 years with this pc .& allways o.k .........................BUT this time it sounds like 1 of the fans is making a wearing soung /speeding up slowing down & its getting on my nervs iv double checked all of them they all see o.k ...... would any1 addvise what to do ..... being as my sys is about 7 years old, is the anything u can put on the fans like wd40 ....to stop them drying up! i just need abit of good advice on how to maintaine these fans & the sys .......thank you

IF you mean CPU cooler fan m8 just buy another, decent store be about a fiver

if you put even lightish presure on any pc fan you can trash it,
also dont use compressed air, aswell as making the fan spin at
awkward angles it can blow dirt into the fans internal parts.
for the price mate you can replace all case fans whenever they
get too soiled, if you clean them try using a clean soft brush
and very light pressure, and all should be fine. noisy fans throw
them or they may end up costing you much more than the price of
a fan. cya.

yes guys thanks ....im just haveing trouble finding out wich 1 is makeing the noise .......beeen holding my ere up 2 the pc all day lol ... ..how long should a good cpu fan last cos ..i replaced mine about 2 years ago & it cost me £15 ...
