Hi People,
Can any of you good people please help with a modem that my friend has bought of a famous auction site. He bought a N*L 250 modem with infinite firmware on it and he was given a cd with 250 configurator V1.21 on it. We have followed the instruction that also came with it and nothing is happening and will not load to the internet. He lives in the Manchester area which is ex C&W area. We are using his original Mac address which he pays for but would like to get 20meg these are the setting we are putting in Using Ethernet cable Mac Address (His original) Tuner Type (19) Annex mode (1) DS Freq (586750000) Admin Status (2) Config File (cmbus-pkg3-nat-any.cm) TFTP IP (62.254.35.11) Force Cfg (Ticked) Telnet Enable (Ticked) Max DL Tries (4) Then we click write settings it changes to offline and says settings updated. Rebooting the modem which we unplug the modem and plug it back in to reboot it and nothing happens. Is there anything that we might be doing wrong may some of the setting above? Any help would be super and very much appreciated |

Messing with the speeds on a mac you own = they know your address and everything else, this is just extremely stupid and is likely to get you caught.

having a contract with them dosent make a diffrence, but u dont use ur OWN mac lol, i bet your friend has not even spoofed his nic, witch would mean virgin knows his nic mac from his subbed modem, then he plugs in his clone with the same mac forced to 20mb on the same nic mac- LOL, get dhcp sniffer and get a mac out of that to use!!
