Encoding satellite recordings??

Just taped a film, trying to encode it to mp4(h264).
I usually use Tmpg = great tool easy to use outstanding results.. Anyway i recorded the Klitshko fight that will load and encode easy, the film will not anyone know if they are copy protected?? it's recorded as mpg thru dvbviewer maybe i should try changing to a transport stream recording??
Any Ideas?? I have tried multiple other tools it won't open...
