so can anyone recommend what to use to protect against an attack. ive done a box for a m8 yesterday using a blocked and dont really want to look like a idiot if it goes down.

you cant protect the mosc cards mate or fun cards. mosc cards wont most probably go off but funs are more likely. as people are saying nagra 3 will be coming some time next year and that will be 100% end of freeloading virgin boxes,starview etc

it must be un hackable due to the fact that these chipped boxes have been stealing from virgin for the past 6-7 years which has cost virgin millions. now they will up there incryption so high on the viewing cards that you wont able to even read the card let alone hack it. it would be like a sky viewing card i reckon.

Nothing is 'un-hackable' as such, its just a matter of resources, time and of course the will to succeed. Check out what this guy has been doing to get access to the nagravision 3 encryption. (enter the usual 3w's first) ...wired.com/politics/security/news/2008/05/tarnovsky
