These findings may help others.
f/w: SV1 with 1.5 core400 fw. (May apply to others too) Symptom: TPs report "failed" and box freezes at between 5-25 TPs when doing update channels, or after a factory reset, or after simply switching off/on the box. Either way - loss of channels. Remedy: 1) First, install a previous f/w over the new one and then auto scan or better still, if you have a frequency noted from when times were good then do a manual scan on that frequency to reduce the garbled titles you *may* get at the next step. Ensure at least one FTA channel is working. 2) Install the latest fw over the older version and then auto scan.
