My uncle (This really is not me) has had his subbed box done and I told him today after bing on this site that was a bad idea, He's had it done for a few months now with no come backs so far. He asked if the talkback can be put back which I don't know.

As he has done his subbed box is it possible for him to buy another box off someone that has not had the TB cut and plub that in another room off a splitter and allow VM to talk to that box?

u can re-solder the chips back on if you have em , or you can get the chips fom somewhere.

No I have spoken to 666 already in depth and listened to his advice which is why I passed this onto my uncle, Unfortunately he already got one of his work mates to carry out the chip long before I knew anything about subbed boxes etc, This is just a normal cable box not a V+
