Default swapping from progdvb

Right, progdvb has been annoying me for a while - always bloody crashing and rubbish.

Just wondering which one is a) easy to use and b) allow me to record HD channels with an HD encoder or whatever without having to pay and the likes.

Much appreciated

Give DVBDream a try. It is updated frequently and I prefer it to the others. I used to prefer Altdvb but it is now so old and has not been updated that it has fallen behind.

I agree with the above, i bought dvbviewer (a rare occurance for me!)

Nice piece of software especially with the new OSD Skin.

Yeah i bought it in the end - got the cracked version originally and got some dodgy plugin which totally fubar'd my entire system. Is fine for me now though - is a lil hard to understand at first

go to a l s a t and you can get vplug on there just install it to prog files\dvbv\plugins
digitv is down at the mo on AU but you can get it running with key edit in vplug(right click the little orange icon bottom right corner)

Another vote for DVBViewer here. Like most people I "dislike" paying for software but at the time it worked out at just over £11 for it, and it's been money well spent.
All the little extra's like DVBServer and the recording scheduler are excellent as well.
