Hi Folks,
Firstly Hello to you all and cheers for the information, I've been reading through for a while and have learned a lot so far. Basically, my surfboard (which is running Sigma-X2) went down earlier in the week, I'm surmising it's the tftip issue that's caused the problems to this point. I'm getting the lights flashing, and the modem rebooting every few minutes and I've noticed that in my detailed connection info I've sent numerous packets but received zero. It may be related or not but my main problem is that I can't access either the default access page or the 1337 modded page to make changes. I've read through and not found anything in the forums on this. Apologies if I've missed anything. Could anyone offer any advice? Thanks. |

set your nic card to 192.168.100.10 and try connecting to it again. if no go, disable the adapter and enable it again and then try.
also, if your using smac, try unspoofing it.

Even if you're not getting connected you should still be able to make changes in your 1337 page if you remove the cable supply from the modem. |

I'll give that a go, thanks mate. If it is, for want of a better phrase, buggered; what, if anything, can I do about it?
I don't have a flashing cable or anything like that, I bought the modem pre-modded from fleabay. |

if you don't mind me asking, what's your charge for repair if a problem is found and fixable? I mean, would it be cheaper to buy a new one?also, is sigma necessarily the best firmware, are there others that are more secure?cheers

£10 + return shipping for a surfboard and will be posted back same day.
Return shipping method is upto you, last surfboard i posted next day with psu was approx £5, obviously you wouldnt need to send me the psu so would be slightly cheaper. You could also remove the modem from its casing to get it down alittle lower, but i doubt the amount saved warrants the effort. for a sb5100, 5100mod is the best firmware, which im happy to install.
