Default Warning message from Virgin

I have the Eurovox max8 (genuine not a clone) I updated it recently (last week) and all went well, got all my usual channels back. Yesterday though Some of the channels started updating and stuck on that, and when i turned to V****N M***A channel i go the following message: "Please be aware the set top box you are using is unauthorised and you are committing a criminal offence by using it to recieve programmes from V****n M***a. If you have any concerns about your illegal connection to Virgin Media's network and reciept of of it's services then please phone....." blah blah etc.

Whats the deal with this? Am i screwed here.....Is there anything i can do to get my box back working? Anyone else having this message? Help please!

Yes i think so mate, I have had the box well over a year and have never had a problem with it apart from when it needed flashed with the latest software. I flashed the box just last week with the 5th Dec file and everything went fine, until yesterday the channels became stuck on 'updating' when i started surfing around the channels i came across the couple with the "unauthorised box" message. Now that i know this message is a 'scare tactic' thats not an issue, my problem is now...why are my channels stuck on updating when they worked fine?....Has anyone any ideas? Thanks.

Try reflashing the box just in case you had a bad flash

If that doesnt work. Go into menu. then press language settings and type in "1968" it will bring 2 hidden options. Make sure that Emulation is enabled and also try the EMM Capture to enabled and then save. My EMM Capture is disabled at the mo but i have come accross it when i enable it and it works.
