Very true.
But with those spec's the spawn will be frogs in no time..
It all depends what the user wants to do with the pc.
Don't get the wrong idea. I am not a xp or vista fan.

Joking aside onenonly.
That looks a pritty good spec pc. But it all depends what your friend wants to do with it.If he is just roaming the net and doing a bit of word processing a lower spec pc would do the job.
I am not fan of pc world or currys but they have dropped their prices a bit it may be worth a look there.

Ye i definatly agree with you but i fixed this dude's PC about 300 times and now i just said to him look i had enough to many problems lets get you a new PC his son plays a lot of games this and that erm not to much downloading or anything.Hes currently using the Dell dimention 3000....

Yep terrible PC to have but after i reinstalled windows i said its not going to have that much affect on the PC but we tried and still he says its slow so i just thought forget it (im not a vista fan either i told him if your someone who is use to XP and a slow learner on stuff dont get it but he said i want to try it out).

I may see your problem.
I got my friend into computers.by getting him a dell computer. He just roames the net booking holls. It payed for itself with his first booking. Two years ago.
A good buy for him but a nightmare for me.He is a total tech thicki. I dread him ringing me.He keeps knackering it.I do not believe in warranty support.
But when this dell packs up I feel like saying get one from pc world with a warranty. But I know this would not work he would still ring me.

Well the last time i visited him was like a week ago, there i had to install Microsoft 2007 but i think when i checked hte price it was 499.00 (pounds).going back to pontiend quote i dont mind helping people i have done that many times i have got many requests it's just i dont like when everything depends on me.

Oh and going to this PC in my perspective looks alright quite high specs but i was wondering if DDR3 would be a nice tryout

If I remember right on the tests that I have read, DDR3 is no better than DDR2 on some tasks. Also unless the motherboard supports DDR3 it will run at the speed that the board supports.
