Personaly i wouldnt advise anyone to buy one just in case of the software changes/key rolls over the festive period.Best to wait till new year but the end of the choice is yours mate.just read up on the box in question then decide where u go from there.Id personally use the ev1000 slimline only £85 and the autosort function is a godsend.

if you want a guarantee as to how long these boxes will continue to get all the chans no one can give it.You pays your money you take the gamble if you cant accept that then you can subscribe.Eurovox v boxes have no longer been manufactured for quite some time clones are availlable normally in the region £85 if the v box you have been offerd is new i doubt it is a gen box if it is used box then i would advise getting the newer slimline box if you can find one or pay the extra for the pvr model.

I have had the privalge of owning various boxes ie starview,eurovox,dbox2 etc but for me the itgate wins hands down, like the dbox it has a linux system.
good picture quality and fairly easy to update too, also they come with a 2 yr hadware warranty too
