Default Running ProgDVB with Utorrent in the background

Hi Chaps

I have a E6600 processor, 4 Gig of ram, Vista and
an nforce 6030i/7150 mobo and a tt-1501 Cable card.

I am using Progdvb and I run BBCHD glitch-free at about 40% cpu usage.

However, If i start Utorrent, or download from the net, my TV signal falls to pieces. My cpu usage spikes to 90% too. Stange as Utorrrent itself has a very small footprint.

Anyone have any insight into this.?

I had similar issues and found that the splitter I was using between my cable modem and tv card had failed is some strange way, it still split the signal but was allowing the data transmissions to interfere with the TV and this only occurred on the PC.#

Like yourself it was most apparent with torrents, try iplayer or something else that is going to create a lot of connections and see if it starts to break up the picture.

The cpu usage spike is because it is trying to reassemble an image out of all the garbage it is recieving (afaik).

You were right!

I was Dubious but sure enough, I changed my splitter and the problem has gone away. Replaced my (1-3 )splitter with an old TW one (1-2)

I can now use utorrent/ internet/ anything and my Video doesnt break up at all. Cheers matey
