cant see anyone stealing tv would pay for it? so how are they losing money ?
and another thing is,how much money will the cable co lose in the fact that a lot of people have a basic broadband connection to get free tv but now no free tv,how many will quit broadband and go with a different(cheaper)providor ? sparky |

You might get a cheaper bb than VM but you won't get better. I used to have no choice than to use ADSL b4 I moved into a cable area. It was horrible, 2mb on up to 8mb. Used to drop connection whenever it felt like it. Now I use VM 20mb I have solid as a rock ultra fast internet. Even if I could go cheaper I wouldn't.
I think that VM will see more subscribers, people will miss what they have. Yes some will go to SKY to spite VM (go figure) but I think that quite a few will subscribe.

I was first thinking of paying for VM broadband as well, however now Im thinking of going to O2
I mean who can argue with these prices(per month) Standard broadband O2 customer: £3.17 Standard broadband non-O2 customer: £8.06 Premium broadband O2 customer:£3.54 Premium broadband non-O2 customer:£8.43 Pro broadband O2 customer:£8.80 Pro broadband non-O2 customer:£13.69 Access broadband O2 customer:£15.05 Access broadband non-O2 customer: £19.94 The access broadband is for people that cant get bb, but still gives you up to 8 meg. They have a better customer service than others as well. When I had an O2 sim contract with them, I get through to an English customer service representative with them BTW, these prices are different to prices from the O2 site but these prices are via quidco where you get cashback for purchasing from them. Im lucky as we live close to an exchange, so Im free to choose whoever I want lol without compromising on speed

Id say for most people premium would be best as it only costs pennies more than standard for 2.5 times more speed and I dont think many people here would need "expert" tech support from O2 much, apart from to send the engineer around because of a network fault and not your fault lol. And for most people, a dynamic IP would suffice, instead of a static one
That along with a primus saver home calls package, it works out a hell a lot cheaper than VM. See here: moneysavingexpert.com/phones/home-phone-calls With primus, you pay for your calls during the day and line rental is all

Who wants to pay for a static IP, when you can get a free DNS address ?
I do think that the service that VM provide is far far far superior to any other broadband provider. (no that wasn't a stutter ) And I will continue to pay for it while it remains so.

twas what I was thinking as well lol. Even after the first year of being a new customer with O2, their price along with primus saver's £9.50/month price beats VM hands down. Their service was significantly better than VM when I had a sim contract with them(though Im now on a VM contract, as it was a November offer thingy)

I think your talking about their customer service there Waq, not the service they provide. It's worth taking into account, I'd still rather stick with VM as ADSL would at best get me 4mb here, as it is I get 20mb and could get 50mb if I wanted.
