You will need Vplug google it. Use 2.3.9 and do not forget the extra download to get an updated nagra.mdl. It will autoupdate you do not need keys.

What are you using to view as its a bit different for each. Media Portal needs 2 extra files and it goes in the MDPLUGINS folder for example.

Now all I need is vPlug for media centre and VMC to actually find some channels without having to use a dvb-c to dvb-t frigger

I use media portal but believe Media Center will only support hardware cams. I can see you going down this path unless you buy a new DVB-C card.

Indeed. For now I use Prog and treat it like a piece of Very expensive fine china so it doesnt crash.

If I leave the mouse alone and dont download anything it actually works quite well..

cant get AC3 on BBC hd though. (I can on DVBviewer but that seems to work when it feels like it)

Before I went HardCAM, I found DVBDream to be the most stable out of the DVB programs I tried. Didn't try all of them, just a few, but DVBDream was definitely the easiest and most stable I found.

Just my 2 cents mate.

If you want DVB-C in vista, try DVBSBridge, like I have mentioned before it can be a pain to set up but I can get it working with ProgDVB and DVBViewer with a twinhan DVB-C card for around £56 for the card and DVBSBridge for £15 and it is mostly stable even recording from standby now
pretty much any software works with that card
